Contraindications for EMFACE Treatments
When considering EMFACE treatments, please be aware of the following contraindications. EMFACE applicators should not be used on the chest, heart, carotid sinus, mouth, or over the eyes. Additionally, do not proceed with treatment if any of the following conditions are present:
- Active bacterial or viral infections, acute inflammations
- Impaired immune system
- Recent use of Isotretinoin (within the past 12 months)
- Skin-related autoimmune diseases
- Undergoing radiation therapy or chemotherapy
- Poor healing or unhealed wounds in the treatment area
- Presence of metal implants near the treatment area or neutral electrode
- Permanent implants near the treatment area
- Pacemakers, internal defibrillators, or any other active electrical implants
- Current or history of skin cancer, or any other type of cancer, or pre-malignant moles
- History of malignant cancer
- Active collagen diseases
- Cardiovascular diseases (including vascular diseases, peripheral arterial disease, thrombophlebitis, and thrombosis)
- Pregnancy, nursing, or undergoing IVF procedures
- History of bleeding disorders or use of anticoagulants
- Active skin conditions in the treatment area (such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rash, and rosacea)
- Recent surgical procedures in the treatment area (within the last three months) or before complete healing
- Poorly controlled endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes)
- Tuberculosis
- Hepatitis
- Febrile conditions
- Acute neuralgia and neuropathy
- Kidney or liver failure
- Sensitivity disorders in the treatment area
- Varicose veins, pronounced edemas
- Recent skin dermabrasion, skin resurfacing, or deep chemical peeling in the treatment area (within the last 3 months)
- Electroanalgesia without a clear diagnosis of pain etiology
- Serious psychological disorders (such as schizophrenia)
